Have Your Say - Speed Mitigation - Valla Beach Road

Over the years, the area of Valla Beach Road from the Railway Bridge to Kuta Avenue has become very very busy with all the different activities there ie Valla Beach Tavern, the very busy bus bay area, the parking area, the PreSchool with all of its little ones being ferried in and out of cars etc, the regular hirers and clients of our Community Hall, the Lifestyle Real Estate Agents, Nourish Café and Grocer and also the Valla Pharmacy - all of these businesses/activities within 400-500 metres.

TfNSW is the government dept to which we all need to convey our concerns and ask for
lowering the speed limit to 40kph and the installation of a pedestrian crossing in this part of Valla Beach Road.

An excerpt from an email received by VBCA from TfNSW on 02.09.26 states:

“If your community would like to request a review of the speed limit on Valla Beach Road, you can submit a request through Transport for NSW's Speed Limits – Have Your Say page. This process allows community members to raise concerns about existing speed limits, and submissions are considered as part of the speed zone review prioritisation process.”

VBCA would like to urge everyone who are concerned about the speed limit along this particular part of Valla Beach Road to write to TfNSW.
